Kanthaswamy: Ultimate

Kanthaswamy, directed by Susi Ganesan and produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under the banner V Creations, has been in the making for nearly two years. Following the news scoops and snippets regarding the crew's various activities, everybody in tinsel town is excited and eagerly awaiting its release. Kanthaswamy stars Vikram and Shriya in lead roles, and there is liberal dose of glamour, heroism, a well-defined story, romance, edge-of-the-seat suspense and some foot-tapping music in it.

Kanthaswamy story

The story is about the economical differences that prevail between different classes of the Indian population. The film's protagonist is an investigating officer of high rank. While handling problems related to the country's security and development, the officer goes through specific property details of affluent businessmen and NRIs. On further investigation, he finds that the wide gap between the rich and the poor is the root cause for so many problems. He tries to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor. How? By using his position and power, Vikram identifies and unearths crores of rupees of unaccounted money tucked away by the bigwigs in strange nooks and corners of the globe under varied names and ownerships and distributes them legitimately to the middle class and lower middle class people. All the adventures he goes through on his mission is what makes the film fascinating.

Vikram is especially happy over the way the entire project has come through. There is also word that the actor has donned eight different roles in the film.

Kanthaswamy music

Devi Sri Prasad has composed some really enthralling numbers for the film. The audio release that took place recently in the city was a grand function attended by big shots of the city. Of the eight songs, four have been sung by Vikram. 'Excuse me' in Vikrama nd Suchithra's combination, and Vikram's solo 'Mambo Maamiya' inspire listeners to tap and groove for their rhythm.

Kanthaswamy Foundation

With a view to establish the movie's theme, the crew, under the able leadership of the director Susi Ganesan and producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu, has facilitated a charity group named 'The Kanthaswamy Foundation' to work for the cause of villages and villagers that lack basic facilities and amenities. Two villages were adopted by the crew and another 30 have been adopted by industrialists and business tycoons in the city.

Vikram, who is a superhero in the film, has worn specially-designed rich clothes to suit the role's charisma. His costumes comprise a dazzling range, from ostentatious royal clothes to everyday formals. Shriya, the film's heroine, too has made use of glamorous costumes worth 1.25 crores. The crew shot for a month in Mexico, spending eight crores and also canned a few song and dance sequences in Italy spending two crores. An added three crores were spent on the extra effects added to the CG effects in the action adventure.
